Description
Application
Safety fuse is used together with plain detonators to initiate cap sensitive explosives. Through the core Load, the flame is conveyed at a steady and controlled speed. However, deviation in the burning speed declared by the manufacturer is accepted, duo to handling, storage and climatic conditions. Therefore, burning speed should always be verified by accurate timing of a sample from each coil just before use, while the length should be at least 1 m.
It is important to know that fuse burns at the core and not with its cover. The cover may burn without the ignition of the core. When properly ignited, the core ignites with a jet of flame called the “ignition spit”. The ignition spit shoots out the end of the fuse the moment the powder core is lighted
